Feelings, memories, passing time, the body and pleasure.
How do you define your artistic research in three words?
Colours, impatience and patience.
What images and spaces do you want to create through your work?
A space that makes you want to stay a little bit and makes you go out a little different. An image that can be imprinted in the mind and which can continue to exist afterwards. Like when we chat about a film after the cinema.
Where and how do you find poetry?
Nature, of course. It’s the best. Music is very important to me. It is always present in the studio and can create these moments of poetry. Watch a lot of movies. But also, it can appear out of nowhere. Which makes it even more beautiful.
In your view, what does being an artist mean in today’s world?
Stay curious. Open minded. Don’t judge too quickly. Have nuance. Say what you want to say. And listen to what others have to say. Don’t look at Instagram too much. And take pleasure in the practice... always!
