What figures is your work centered around?

I am constantly experimenting with new ways of representing the female figure, which is the primary source of inspiration and subject matter in my paintings. I am interested in how the body moves, stands, and interacts with others. I focus on the shapes and spaces that appear when bodies overlap and create new forms.

Which topics does your work focus on?

Human feeling and the appearance and distortion of human bodies.

How do you define your artistic search and practice in three words?

Discipline, experimentation, gesture.

What do you want to achieve?

I want the narrative of my paintings to be more open. Recently, I‘ve gotten to a place where the figuration starts dissolving and the forms become less clear, which is incredibly exciting because I don’t know how the work will come out in the end.

Wherein lies the beauty for you today?

In the differences that make us unique. The odd, the raw, the battles we overcome, the inner growth; in vulnerability, in kindness and in mistakes.
