What are the main topics you deal with in your practice?
Exploration of painterly aesthetics in the context of the human condition. And when I say ‘human’, I include all life forms.

How do you define your artistic research in three words?
Intuitive, spontaneous, improvisation.

What or who inspires you the most?
Nature, and life and life forms in it.

Where and how do you find beauty?
Beauty is multidimensional; it surrounds us, and it is inescapable. The important thing is to keep seeing and believing in it, even when surrounded by darkness.

What do you stand for, both as an artist and a human being?
Everyone’s—people, animals, and other constituent elements of nature—right to fulfilment. A river has to flow, a sea has to toss, a gale has to blow, a rain has to fall. Unbridled expression and freedom to pursue fulfilment are key.

What remains timeless for you?
I come from a riverbank; the river taught me that the whole universe is a river that’s always flowing. Flux is the only constant. Even within a work of art, flux is an important dimension of its aesthetic.
