What are the main topics you deal with in your practice?

I explore the realms of friendship and the intimate relationships that shape my identity, undoubtedly in search of my own place. For example, my work Moi, Héloïse tells the story of my relationship with my best friend, who has been suffering from anorexia for several years. It is also about how social relationships are affected when one has eating disorders.

How do you define your artistic research in three words?

Life, love, and death.

What images and spaces do you want to create through your work?

I try to create images that are as sincere as possible by giving a voice to the individuals who make up my life. In doing so, I aim to provoke a deeper reflection on the human relationships of my generation.

Where and how do you find poetry?

By walking for long hours in the city, alone or accompanied. It doesn’t matter.

In your view, what does being an artist mean in today’s world?

For me, being an artist today is essentially having the ability to question, make things heard and show everything about the world in which we live. I appreciate the definition that Oscar Wilde provides in the preface of The Picture of Dorian Gray, which begins with: “The artist is the crea- tor of beautiful things.”
