What are the main topics you deal with in your practice?
I look at intimacy and existence, the human condition, through the softness and brutality of the body.
How do you define your artistic research in three words?
Personal, social and intuitive.
What images and spaces do you want to create through your work?
Images that are more complex than they seem, gentleness disguised as cruelty, life disguised as death. Corporal images that feel like emotion.
Where and how do you find poetry?
In moments between people and moments when I’m alone. But mainly through the senses, visual is the obvious, but poetry occupies the delicate in-between: touch, taste, smell and emotion.
In your view, what does being an artist mean in today’s world?
I’m still figuring that out.
