What is your background?
I was born in 1972 in Carrickfergus, a large town in Northern Ireland. I decided to go to art college in Belfast, before coming to England in 1992 to pursue a degree in Photography. My path is about trial and error, good luck, and bad luck.
What are the main topics you deal with in your work?
My work focuses on duality versus non-duality, and the space in between.
How do you define your artistic search and practice in three words?
See what happens.
Which techniques do you use to create?
I use many: camera, computer, darkroom, pen, paper, lights and photographic seeing.
How do you consider your work in relation to current societal issues?
I actually don’t, other than the obvious.
What kind of beauty does your work focus on?
My idea of what beauty is.
What does being an artist mean in your opinion today?
Making art.
What is the message you want to deliver with your work?
My message is that we all have to try to do our best to love each other, and that includes loving ourselves, too.
